A GOOD PRACTICE ROUTINE

Start untimed for 5 minutes until carries feel automatic
Then do 5-10 minutes timed to build fluency
If accuracy drops, reduce difficulty (smaller factors) for one session
Say the steps out loud (ones row, tens row, then add) to stay organised

COMMON MISTAKES TO WATCH

Misaligned tens row (missing the place value shift)
Carry number written in the wrong column
Forgetting to add carry during a multiplication step
Addition slip when summing the partial rows
