Paper 1 is a combined reading prompt and answer booklet (approximately 30 minutes). Paper 2 uses a separate reading booklet and answer booklet with more challenging texts (approximately 40 minutes).

Short KS1 mock papers for Year 1 and Year 2: reading, spelling, grammar and punctuation.
The optional KS1 English tests include reading plus grammar, punctuation and spelling.
Paper 1 is a combined reading prompt and answer booklet (approximately 30 minutes). Paper 2 uses a separate reading booklet and answer booklet with more challenging texts (approximately 40 minutes).
Paper 1 spelling includes a transcript read by the test administrator and 20 spellings (about 15 minutes). Paper 2 questions covers grammar, punctuation and vocabulary (about 20 minutes).
