Times tables + rapid recall
Best for children aged 6-9 learning times tables. Pick a few tables (like 2, 5, 10) and build speed, then widen the set.
Use untimed when learning or fixing mistakes. Switch to timed once accuracy is high. A good target is 80-90%+ before turning the timer on.
For most kids under 10: 5-10 minutes, 4-5 days a week. Stop while it still feels easy. Consistency beats long sessions.
Note: this is practice for arithmetic fluency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). For word problems and full topic coverage, use the KS1 practice quizzes.
